A fresh and delicious smoothie, rich in protein and fibre, with no added sugar and highly satiating not only thanks to the presence of protein powder but also those of the good fats of peanut cream.

The texture of this smoothie, so soft and velvety, will delight your palates, especially with the hot summer heat.

The peanut cream made 100% with selected peanuts and of excellent quality, contributes to making this meal balanced and increases its satiating power.

To get a real creamy and voluminous smoothie you will need to use ice cubes and frozen fruit. These two elements are essential to be able to have the desired final consistency, without these the smoothie will succeed equally but it will not be as creamy and especially voluminous. In fact, the ice, together with the frozen fruit and the air that will be incorporated, will triple the volume of this delicious smoothie.

So if you are on a diet and/or have a particular appetite, this protein smoothie will help you to fight hunger and feel satiated.

As a protein source, I suggest a scoop of protein powder isolated, which can be neutral or the taste you prefer. As fruit for this protein smoothie, I chose raspberries, which are rich in beneficial properties for our organism.

Raspberries are a source of antioxidants, in fact, they are rich in vitamin C, vitamin A and carotenoids. These particular antioxidants perform numerous protective and preventive actions for our health, in particular, to counter free radicals and oxidative stress. Not surprisingly, the anti-cancerogenic properties of raspberry have been highlighted by numerous studies.

The same antioxidant properties improve eyesight by protecting the retina from oxidative stress. Thus it is effective in preventing vision loss or macular degeneration.

Raspberry is also rich in phytonutrients and tannins that prove effective in preventing inflammation of the stomach, intestine and cardiovascular system.

The consumption of raspberries also stimulates the body to produce adiponectin, whose action is important to maintain stable sugar and insulin level in type 2 diabetes, so as to avoid the peak of blood sugar levels in diabetic subjects.

Recent studies have shown that raspberries are allies in slimming, especially for abdominal fat. Raspberry ketone has extraordinary effects on the thermogenesis of the organism.

Precisely because of this reaction, fat is gradually lost. The consequence of a decrease in fat mass in the subjects with non-optimal body composition (therefore in the subjects in which the percentage of fat mass is beyond the range of health, involves a consequent decrease in the levels of subclinical inflammation.

This extraordinary fruit will also make the flavour of this smoothie really delicious, especially together with the peanut cream.

To achieve it you will need:

100g frozen raspberries
30g polverse protein isolate
200ml vegetable drink without sugar or skimmed milk
10-12 ice cubes
1 teaspoon peanut cream

Proceeding

Inside a blender insert the frozen raspberries, the ice cubes, the powdered proteins and finally the milk. For a sweeter smoothie, you can add sweetener or alternatively maple syrup or honey.

At this point start to blend and enrich yourself to blend well all the ice cubes. Leave in action for at least 2 minutes so as to incorporate air inside the smoothie that in fact will become a very voluminous and velvety texture.

Pour everything into a very large bowl, decorated with a handful of baby bows and finally with the peanut cream.

Conclusion

This protein smoothie is the ideal breakfast or snack in the summer months, perfect if you are following a slimming regime.
